Limiting Beliefs

Let’s talk about limiting beliefs. Many of us have them. They are being echoed consciously or subconsciously through societal messaging and conditioning. Limiting Beliefs I’m too old or too young. I don’t fit in. I’m unworthy. I’m an imposter or a fraud. I’m not good enough. I am not perfect. I watched NYAD on Netflix the other night. The movie is about Diana Nyad who at 64 swam 110 miles from Cuba to the Florida Keys. A feat she failed to complete when she was just 28 years old, and 3 more times in her early 60’s. What left an indelible mark on me was how she didn’t allow limiting beliefs such as “I am too old” to prevent her from achieving her purpose, her dream. Her desire to attempt the swim in her 60s was triggered by a quote in Mary Oliver’s poem, The Summer Day, “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious Life? Diana’s mindset, her will, her unwavering focus, and her clear intention produced the desired outcome. She took action — she trained, raised money, and built her support team, but most of all she believed in herself.

In the movie, it was clear she understood that her mind is her most powerful asset. She did not allow limiting beliefs shared by others to stand in the way of achieving her purpose.

How many of us capitulate to limiting beliefs? Did you know, that when we do that, we also allow ourselves to fall prey to unconscious emotions of judgment, disappointment, or frustration? These may not be present on the surface of your life, but underneath your conscious awareness, they are present and sabotaging your life.

What if I told you there is a process and a program I teach based on the groundbreaking work of Dr. Joe Dispenza, that can help you overcome limiting beliefs to become the best version of yourself. It’s called Change Your Mind… Create New Results.
